Shanique is a gentle soul with a fierce determination to succeed in life. She knows that success comes from dedication, discipline and perseverance. She has not let her circumstances get her down and she is highly motivated to study hard and give of her best in everything she does.
Shanique has always dreamt of working on cruise ships, experiencing different cultures and exploring the world. In 2026, The Foot Up Foundation covered the costs of a Higher Certificate in Tourism and Travel Management Practice through Boston City Campus in Somerset West. One of Shanique's greatest goals is to build a successful career that will allow her to support her family and make them proud as she is the first, in her family, to have an opportunity to study further.
Beyond her personal goals, Shanique is passionate about making a positive difference in her community by inspiring others to believe in themselves and their potential. She wants to show people that no matter their background or circumstances, success is achievable through hard work, commitment and staying focused. Above all, Shanique places her trust in God and believes that faith plays a central role in her journey. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". This is a reminder, to her, that challenges do not define her future.
